
Andrew Mazariegos-Ovalle is a Guatemalan American artist who works in film photography, illustrations, sculpture, and performance. He was born and raised in the South West side of Chicago. As a first-generation artist, his work revolves around themes of family, land, and immigration.
Mazariegos is currently based in Minnesota through the Emerging Artist Program at St. Olaf College. He is a recipient of the 2024 Individual Grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Council of Arts. He received a B.A in Studio Art and Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College in 2024.
